Ahvenvaara Local Master Plan Approved

The Municipal Council of Puolanka approved the local master plan for the Ahvenvaara wind power project developed by Solarwind Finland at its meeting on May 28, 2026.

The project has now completed the planning process, which included the local master plan as well as an environmental impact assessment (EIA). Next, the project’s wind measurements will be completed, and the measures required to achieve a grid connection will be finalized. Solarwind Finland would like to thank the Municipality of Puolanka for the excellent cooperation throughout the process.
